Zircon Birthday Dice

The origins of the word “zircon” have elicited colourful debate. Some scholars believe it comes from the Arabic word zarkun, meaning “cinnabar” or “vermilion.”

Others think the source is the Persian word zargun, or “gold coloured.”

Considering the broad colour palette for this December birthstone – red, orange, yellow, brown, green and blue – either derivation seems possible.

Colourless zircon is known for its brilliance and flashes of multicoloured light, called fire, which have resulted in centuries of confusion with diamond.

These dice sets are designed in Canada and come in a dice case that is easy for storing.

Each set is a standard RPG set with a D20, D10, D%, D12, D8, D6, & D4.

Packaged in a dice box; it is easy to display and stack in your showcases.

Zircon Birthday Dice were designed to look like the cool feeling of zircon stone. This was a layered attempt to make a cross section of what the dice would look like if cut from unpolished gems.

With silver ink that is easy to read it is a good set for being able to read for a long time.

Zircon Birthday Dice Characteristics

The Zircon Birthday Dice are made with 3 layers of resin. The bottom layer is solid blue resin, the middle layer is a light blue transparent resin and the top layer is a transparent resin. This has an interesting effect of making the the colours shift and change when you move the dice.

I wanted to create a mixed solid and transparent dice set so that you could see the inside of a solid die.
