The Apache thought turquoise could be found by following a rainbow to its end. They also believed that attaching the December birthstone to a bow or firearm made one’s aim more accurate.

The Pueblo maintained that turquoise got its colour from the sky, while the Hopi thought the gem was produced by lizards scurrying over the earth.

Turquoise Birthday Dice were designed to look like the clear waters on a sandy beach. This was a layered attempt to make a cross section of what the dice would look like if cut from unpolished gems.

With silver ink that is easy to read it is a good set for being able to read for a long time.

Turquoise Birthday Dice Characteristics

The Turquoise Birthday Dice are made with 3 layers of resin. The bottom layer is solid blue resin, the middle layer is a light blue transparent resin and the top layer is a darker blue transparent resin. This has an interesting effect of making the the colours shift and change when you move the dice.

I wanted to create a mixed solid and transparent dice set so that you could see the inside of a solid die.
