Opal Birthday Dice were designed to look like the layers of an African Opal. This was a layered attempt to make a cross section of what the dice would look like if cut from unpolished gems.
With silver ink that is easy to read it is a good set for being able to read for a long time.

Opal Birthday Dice Characteristics
The Opal Birthday Dice are made with 3 layers of resin. The bottom layer is solid brown resin, the middle layer is a light blue transparent resin and the top layer is a transparent resin. It had an unexpected effect of looking like a freshwater lake.
I wanted to create a mixed solid and transparent dice set so that you could see the inside of a solid die.
