Alexandrite Birthday Dice
Alexandrite is the rare variety of the mineral chrysoberyl that changes colour in different lighting.
Most prized are those alexandrite birthstones that show a vivid green to bluish green in daylight or fluorescent light, and an intense red to purplish red in incandescent light.
The gem was named after the young Alexander II (1818–1881), heir apparent to the throne. Alexandrite caught the country’s attention because its red and green colours mirrored the national military colours of imperial Russia.
These dice sets are designed in Canada and come in a dice case that is easy for storing.
Each set is a standard RPG set with a D20, D10, D%, D12, D8, D6, & D4.

Alexandrite Birthday Dice were made with the hope of creating the effect of moving colours. This was a layered attempt to make a cross section of what the dice would look like if cut from unpolished gems.
With silver ink that is easy to read it is a good set for being able to read for a long time.

Alexandrite Birthday Dice Characteristics
The Alexandrite Birthday Dice are made with 3 layers of resin. The bottom layer is solid blue resin, the middle layer is a light pink transparent resin and the top layer is a light teal transparent resin. This has an interesting effect of making the the colours shift and change when you move the dice.
I wanted to create a mixed solid and transparent dice set so that you could see the inside of a solid die.
